Privacy policy

This policy describes the Livable Later website as it is published today: a static collection of articles, with no accounts, no shopping cart, and no embedded analytics scripts operated by us. The contact address is contact@livablelater.com.

Information you send us

If you email the editorial team, we receive the address you wrote from, the message, and anything you attach. We use that material to answer you and to correct the site. We do not sell email addresses and we do not add writers to a marketing list. Please do not send medical records, government identification numbers, or financial account numbers. We do not need them.

We keep correction correspondence long enough to fix the page and to remember why it was fixed. You may ask us to delete a message that is still in our mailbox. We will do that if we can still identify it, except where we need a record of a correction we published.

Information collected automatically

We do not run our own analytics, advertising pixels, or account cookies in this version of the site. The company that hosts the files may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, for security and operations. Those logs are governed by the host's practices. If we later add a host or a tool that changes this, we will update this policy before or at the time the tool goes live.

Fonts on this site are files we serve ourselves. Pages do not depend on a third-party font service.

Advertising

A meta tag naming a Google AdSense publisher account is present so the publisher can apply for advertising approval. The AdSense loader itself sits only inside an HTML comment, so the browser does not request it. No ad is displayed, no space is reserved for an ad, and the pages do not show an advertisement label. The contact address on this site is ordinary text and a normal mailto link: contact@livablelater.com.

If advertising is turned on later, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including on this site, under Google's policies. Before that happens we will update this page to describe the change, link to Google's advertising and partner policies, and describe the choices those policies offer. Until that update, ads are off.

We do not sell personal information as a business. We do not have customer lists.

Children

The site is written for adults making housing decisions. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's information. A parent who believes a child emailed us can ask us to delete that message.

Links to other sites

Guides link to government agencies, standards bodies, and a small number of nonprofit publishers such as AARP and the Joint Center for Housing Studies. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Following a link leaves Livable Later.
